Provides physical activity with free weekly sports training (for 8 weeks) and athletic competition for children and adults with mental retardation. 19 different competitions for 13 sports are held each year during four classics, held in fall, winter, spring, and summer. The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) offers a large variety of programs and activities at DPR facilities across the District. You can view, search, or register for these programs and activities using DPR's online registration system or online calendar. Registration can also be completed in-person at a DPR registration site.

DPR Fitness Centers offer a wide variety of wellness and fitness activities with equipment to maintain or improve your physical fitness. Fitness Centers feature a variety of equipment including elliptical cross-trainers, stationary cycles, treadmills, rowing machines, free weights, weight machine, upright bikes, recumbent bikes and stair climbers
