Project Power is a faith-based program targeting the African American community developed to provide churches with a foundation for integrating diabetes awareness/healthy living.
Project Power is a six-part train-the-trainer series provided in conjunction with Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) to integrate healthy living education into church life. It was developed to provide churches with a foundation for integrating diabetes awareness messages and healthy living tips into the life of the family and church. Long the epicenter of the African American community, the church is a natural gathering place for information sharing, offers strong leadership within the community, is genuinely concerned about the health of its own members and links them to the larger community. Churches who participate in Project Power are given one year to complete all Project Power modules. If you are interested in having this program please contact 202-331-8303 x 4540
