Diabetes self-management education is offered by a RN, CDE in a one-on-one setting every Thursday morning. Appointments can be made by calling the Patient Scheduling Center at 202-469-4699. Health center hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:00 AM 4:00 PM, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 8:00 AM 12 noon and Monday and Wednesday 4:30 8:30 PM.

Provides a prevention and treatment program of HIV/AIDS: HIV testing, primary care, case management, substance abuse counseling, mental health counseling, support groups, and referral for housing and hospitalization. (Free to DC residents.) Medical Assistant Training Program. (Free to DC residents.)

Individual and group therapy for the dually diagnosed. Children's Program, with emphasis on depression and attention deficit disorders. Latino Women's Group every Thursday evenings. (Free for all women, in Spanish.)

Better Way Program

Alcohol Abuse Programs

Highly structured, confidential, outpatient, abstinence program which stresses recovery from drugs and alcohol through spiritual growth. The 9 month program includes individual client screening/assessments, daily 12-step meetings, random urinalysis/breathalyzer tests, client alumni program, and six-month continuing care & follow-up.
