Insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring training and ongoing management support
Janice Harris, RN and Catherine Burnette, RD are Certified Diabetes Educators and certified pump trainers in the Medtronic insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring systems. Patients of all ages who are interested in any of the various insulin pumps and continuous glucose sensors on the market may be referred by a healthcare provider. The patients are required to attend at least 2 pre-pump training classes that review carbohydrate counting and basic information about the various insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring devices prior to a prescription for the devices. Pump training classes are held Monday-Friday between 9 am- 4pm. Board certified endocrinologists and a pediatric endocrinologist is available for ongoing management support. Most insurances are accepted and cover the cost of this service. Please call to make an appointment.
