Whitman Walker Public Benefits Program

Whitman Walker Public Benefits Program

Public Benefits Assistance

WWC screens all patients for eligibility for public and private insurance through our Public Benefits department. This service ensures that patients are able to identify and apply for public insurance programs for which they qualify. Public Benefits Coordinators meet with all new patients or patients for whom insurance status or benefits have changed. Public Benefits Coordinators work closely with medical providers to help patients overcome barriers to care, such as a medication they cannot afford, lack of insurance, or denial of a service by their public insurance. Whitman-Walker Public Benefits Services are available at both our site in NW and our site in SE.
