Advocacy Services, stop smoking program

Helps promote lung health and prevent lung disease. Raises funding for prevention and research to combat lung disease. Offers Freedom From Smoking, an 8-session, a behavior modification therapy program to quit smoking. This program addresses the habit, addiction and tailors the therapy to the person. Also runs Camp Happy Lungs for children whose asthma prevents them from attending regular summer camps and support groups for individuals with chronic lung diseases.

Summer camps for children

Holds summer camps for children ages 3-17, and scholarships are available for those who qualify based on income. Camps take place at D.C. recreation centers and community centers and may include physical activity (exercise, sports). Overnight residential camp located on the shores of the Potomac River in Scotland, MD. D.C. residents are given preference.
